The Troop 31 Trebuchet

One of Troop 31's most memorable projects was the construction of a working trebuchet - a medieval siege weapon that uses a counterweight to launch projectiles.

Building the Trebuchet

Scouts worked together to design and build this impressive piece of engineering. The project demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving, and practical application of physics and mathematics.

Demonstrations

The trebuchet was used for demonstrations at troop events and community gatherings, launching pumpkins and other safe projectiles to the amazement of spectators.

This project exemplifies the hands-on, experiential learning that is at the heart of Scouting.
