Service Hour Write-ups

When completing service hours for advancement, Scouts should document their service with a brief write-up that includes:

Required Information

• Date of service
• Organization or cause served
• Description of what you did
• Number of hours worked
• Signature of adult supervisor

Guidelines

Service hours must be:

• Beyond your normal duties (family chores don't count)
• Helpful to others without expectation of payment
• Properly documented with adult verification

Tracking Your Hours

Keep a log of all your service hours in your Scout handbook. This will make it easier to track your progress toward rank requirements and provide documentation for your advancement.
